Build a strong musical foundation by learning the fundamentals of music and the guitar. In this class we will cover how to read sheet music for guitar, essential foundational elements of playing chords, strumming, picking, and other important guitar techniques.

Class Description

This one day class is being offered Free during Appreciation Week. The following is a description of what a complete course would look like: 

Each week we will go over new assignments and students will be required to practice. A test of the assigned material will be given the following week. In addition to reading we will have longer song projects that each student will be working on. My approach is about making sure the student is getting a well rounded experience with music and the instrument. Content provided by instructor. Looking forward to meeting you!

A guitar (either electric or acoustic) and a willingness to learn and practice.

He is also a major contributor to the Music Prodigy practice and assessment tool widely used in major school districts. Mike is a graduate of the Musician’s Institute.
