Class Description

Singapore Math, known elsewhere as Primary Mathematics, is a rigorous math program that teaches children to think mathematically -  as opposed to teaching mathematical concepts by rote and asking student to merely memorize the mechanics of problem-solving. It is a flexible program that allows students to progress at their own pace and according to their individual learning styles. Singapore Math establishes a strong foundation for students' conceptual thought and comprehension through a three-step process: beginning with a concrete approach, then a pictorial approach, and finally an abstract approach. Math concepts are addressed from various directions to stimulate students to think independently in order to gain a thorough understanding of more abstract applications.

Can my child take this class even if they are in a different grade than that listed?

Absolutely! We trust that you know your child’s abilities best and we’re happy to work with you to help your child soar. If for some reason the class doesn’t work out, we will be happy to help you find a class that will be a better fit.
