Class Description

This A-G High School Spanish class has the required criteria for foreign language and underlines the main content of the Spanish curriculum. The course will instruct

and enhance the four learning area skills: Speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Additionally, this class promotes the Hispanic culture to help understand the language deeper. Students will be able to communicate with Spanish speakers and become proficient language users.

This first level Spanish course is designed to introduce students to the basic concept of the language, and to reinforce the language skills taught in previous courses. Students will review the key concepts and lexical items and create continued practice and drills throughout this course. Emphasis will be on improving pronunciation and increasing communicative abilities. They also will be exposed to present, past, and future tenses, and they will be expected to apply them in their writing assignments as well as in the spoken language. This is a class with lots of speaking and classroom interaction!

The cost of this class is $17.50 per hour of instruction.
