Jessica was a Presidential Scholar at California State University, Northridge where she was a member of the inaugural class of the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP). There she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Mathematics and holds a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She has over 15 years of experience working with children in preschool through eighth grade. In 2004, she had the privilege of being a founding teacher of Ivy Academia Entrepreneurial Charter School. Since then she has served as Intervention Specialist at Los Angeles Leadership Academy, and taught grades 4-8 in the San Fernando Valley. A lifelong learner, adventurer, and collector of children’s books; Jessica is passionate about helping all students learn. When she's not teaching, she can be found on the bike trail or at the park with her husband, three young children, and their dog.
