Frequently Asked Questions

How will my student interact with their instructors?

Our instructors primarily host their lessons via Zoom and Google Hangouts. Your instructor will provide you with their virtual classroom link via email at least 24 hours prior to a course's first session.

Yes! Instructors provide a variety of opportunities for students to interact during their class time. These may include students being partnered with another student to complete an in-class activity, or the instructor facilitating class discussions.

For sessions, students are expected to arrive on time, have all required materials on hand, and interact respectfully with their instructor and fellow students. Outside of class, students are expected to complete assignments on time. Instructors will communicate any additional expectations they may have for their specific course.

To ensure quality course delivery, online courses normally have 3 to 8 students.

If your child meets the academic prerequisite for the class, they are welcome to join. You know your child's abilities best!

This will be class dependent. In general, younger students may be able to work from a mobile device. Older students will most likely need access to a computer during class for activities and assignments requested by instructors.

We strongly encourage you to test your computer and video platform for troubleshooting purposes before the start of your class. If you do have an unexpected technical problem, please email your instructor to inform them that you will be missing the class or joining late. Unfortunately, we do not offer make-ups for group classes. You may ask your instructor if they have a recording of the session available, but this is up to the discretion of the individual instructor.

This is dependent on the individual course. All courses are listed with their enrollment type:

  • Standard enrollment courses require students to be enrolled in the class from the first session as each lesson builds upon in-class learning from the previous lesson.
  • Extended enrollment courses allow students to join up to 2 weeks after a course's start date.
  • Open enrollment courses allow students to join at any point during the duration of the course.

For both extended and open enrollment courses, enrollment fees will be prorated based on the week in which the student joins the course.
