Class Description

“Art 2” is a course in drawing, with an emphasis on developing a greater depth and understanding of Art. Student will use different combinations of “The Elements and Principles of Art” in a variety of artwork subjects: still life, portraits, animation, animals, optical illusions, anamorphic art, cityscapes, abstract, and landscapes. While utilizing different mediums (sketching, pen and ink, mixed media, charcoal, and colored pencils), students will work on technique while developing their own personal style and meaning to their artwork. Students will learn how to represent what they see through a variety of studies and projects. “Art 2” students will improve their application, style, and rendering while developing a trust in themselves as an artist. They will see and understand their artwork in a whole new light!
