This class will teach you to “think before you shoot.” We will cover photographic fundamentals such as composition, shutter speed, f/stop, depth of field, and people shots. Night photography, trick photography, outside shots and other stimulating assignments will help you put your learning into practice.

Spanish 1: A-G*, Semester 2

This A-G High School Spanish class has the required criteria for foreign language and underlines the main content of the Spanish curriculum. The course will instruct and enhance the four learning area skills: Speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Additionally, this class promotes the Hispanic culture to help understand the language deeper. Students will be able to communicate with Spanish speakers and become proficient language users.

Biochemistry (Semester 2): Biochemistry and Disease

This is the second semester of a two-semester biochemistry sequence that will introduce the student to the area of biochemistry as it relates to disease. This class will look at the connections between pathological psychiatry, disease, and biochemistry. We will discover the complex chemical processes that occur in the body and brain and how these are related to physiological and pathological mental illness.

This course covers advanced English communications for students of any age who can handle college preparatory material. It is designed to prepare students for university studies and for SAT, ACT, and TOEFL exams. This is an interest-driven class, with emphasis on innate language acquisition through immersion and emulation as well as an understanding of grammatical principles, stylistic issues and vocabulary choices. Students will amass a portfolio of work for use in admissions and applications.
