Coach Profile

Ms. G thought having a lot of kids was enough to handle in her life. Then, she became a substitute teacher and acquired a long-term assignment covering an English class for ninth and eleventh grade students. Through this experience she discovered her love for teaching and students of all academic calibers. She wholeheartedly believes that education is a major key to every child's future success and contribution to society. Ms. G loves being a part of something that gives students purpose and unlocks their full potential. She has been substituting since 2007 in and around the Los Angeles and San Diego counties and has taught students K- 12. Ms. G earned her BA from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA. She loved English throughout her primary and secondary school years, however, since teaching middle schoolers, Science has been her new favorite subject. She has homeschooled two of her five children and has subbed for most single and multi-subject classes, PE, resource, and as an academic intervention specialist for 4th and 5th grade.

She loves traveling and enjoying life with her husband and children. It is always an adventure with her big family. She sings at her church and is their elementary Sunday school coordinator. A beach day is a good day and flowers are her fancy. She loves to cook and bake for her family and friends and is always learning new recipes. She has two older sons who are concurrently pursuing their Master’s degree in teaching from USD and UCLA. She also has an 11 th , 9 th , and 2 nd grader who are doing awesome jobs distant learning from home.
